With more than 15 years experience in sales organizations for various high-tech companies, Russ Borman has piled up quite an impressive series of successes.  He has advised several major vendors in the networking industry in the areas of channel strategy, alignment of partner programs with corporate goals, development of new routes to market, partner enablement, discount & pricing policies, rebate programs, marketing to and through partners, certification and training, communications, program management, channel conflict resolution, deal registration, distribution management, and many other facets of channel management.  While at Cisco Systems he defined a strategy for helping the world’s largest provider of internetworking equipment get into the small– and medium-business (SMB) market through a 2-tier VAR model.  He designed, built, and managed the most successful partnering program in Cisco’s history.  His marketing and certification program for SMB enlisted more than 10,000 new resale partners around the world resulting in first year incremental revenue of more than $800 million for the company.  He has also advised other major technology vendors around the world, including Siemens AG, VCE, Ciena, and Nortel.
